HuskyPrint for Mac OS X

Two easy steps!

  • Setup

  • Print

Please note - if you first installed HuskyPrint before 1/19/2013, please remove the printer and re-add it using the instructions below!

Open ‘System Preferences’ by clicking on the icon in the Dock or by clicking the Apple icon in the top left most corner of the screen.

Click on 'Print & Scan'.

Click on the '+' sign below the list of printers.

Click on the 'IP' icon, then fill out the information as in the picture below.

The 'Address' will always be uniprint.lib.uconn.edu.

The 'Queue' will be either HuskyPrintBW or HuskyPrintColor, and the name and location can be named whatever you'd like.

Click the check box to allow Duplex (double sided) printing.

When you get back to this screen, you'll see either the HuskyPrint Black & White or HuskyPrint Color printer installed.

Printing to HuskyPrint is just like using a regular printer.

When you print from whatever app you're using, just make sure you have either HuskyPrint Black & White or HuskyPrint Color selected as your printer, and then hit Print.

When you go to any of the HuskyPrint locations, just swipe your UConn OneCard and you'll see whatever your Mac OS X username is next to your print jobs.
